Ruby and another rabbit were adopted from an animal shelter. Their human “mom” put them outside in the winter in the mountains!
Some kind person dumped a bale of hay into the pen, and the two survived by burrowing together into the hay to avoid the sub-zero temperatures, and ate it to survive. A divorce led the woman to let us take them. Sadly, when they were adopted, they began fighting, so Ruby had to come back to us.

We believe the problem was that they were never really bonded, but simply clung to each other for survival. Ruby is easy to hold, and will probably be fine with a more suitable hus-bunn.
