A woman in Highlands Ranch is letting her rabbits breed, and then releasing the youngsters. This will create a disaster for the neighborhood, as well as for the rabbits, themselves, but the woman enjoys seeing the bunnies hop free and doesn’t care to change, for that reason. (We get several calls a year when this kind of thing leads to a disaster in a neighborhood.)
Iris was one youngster released. When caught, she had already had a litter and was in the very early stages of a second one, of nine babies, when she was spayed.
Iris is mildly nervous about people, but is quickly learning that the ones she meets here have her best interests at heart.
